Rohit Sharma Surpasses Chris Gayle’s Total of 553 International Cricket Sixes in Just 473 Innings.

During the ICC World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan in Delhi, India’s Rohit Sharma achieved a significant milestone by surpassing Chris Gayle’s international sixes record across formats.

Chris Gayle had previously accumulated 553 sixes in 551 innings, a feat Rohit Sharma accomplished in just 473 innings. While Rohit stands third on the list of One Day Internationals (ODIs) behind Shahid Afridi and Gayle, he leads the T20Is charts with an impressive 182 sixes from 140 innings.

Among Indian cricketers in Test matches, Rohit Sharma ranks as the third-highest six-hitter, having smashed 77 sixes. He is only surpassed by Virender Sehwag with 91 sixes and MS Dhoni with 78.
