In the ICC World Cup 2023, the 17th match took place today, October 19th, at Pune’s MCA Stadium, featuring a face-off between India and Bangladesh. India secured a comfortable 7-wicket victory in this thrilling contest.

What’s noteworthy is Virat Kohli’s exceptional performance in this match. He scored an unbeaten century, amassing 103 runs. Notably, this marks Kohli’s first World Cup century while chasing, and it’s the 48th century in his remarkable ODI career. This century became even more memorable as it contributed to India’s victory.

In this match, Bangladesh batted first after winning the toss. They managed to score 256 runs while losing 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Liton Das scored 66 runs, Tanjid Hasan played impressively with 51 runs, and Mahmudullah contributed 46 runs.

India’s bowlers did a fantastic job. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja each took 2 wickets, while Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav secured 1 wicket each.

India, when chasing the target of 257 runs set by Bangladesh, accomplished it comfortably, losing only 3 wickets in 41.3 overs. Virat Kohli played a splendid innings, scoring an unbeaten 103 runs, while KL Rahul remained not out with 34 runs.
